Tilton House is located in the heart of the South Downs National Park, designated a ‘Dark Sky’ and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It offers unimaginable calm, with acres of unspolit downland.
Breathe, relax and enjoy this lovely historic house. Stretch in the gardens. Stargaze at the fire-pit (weather permitting). Join us for a walk. Listen to the birdsong. The historic house has welcomed many famous guests over the years – discover if Picasso, Virginia Woolf, or Keynes stayed in your room.
Within 90 minutes of London, it is the ideal location for a yoga retreat to relax and come away with renewed energy. Feast on delicious clean food for supper, foraged from Tilton Wood or grown on-site in our kitchen garden and orchard.
Our yoga studio for the weekend will be a beautiful yurt located in the gardens which comes fully equipped with mats, blocks and straps – but of course should you wish to bring your own this is entirely your choice.
Surrounded gardens and countryside; you can sit and relax outside or indoors in one of the comfortable sitting rooms/library or enjoy a sauna.

DIRECTIONS
You can use SAT NAV for the bulk of your journey, but please be advised it does not work once you leave the A27.
Here is what you need to know:

Take the Charleston turn off of the A27, just past Middle Farm if coming from the west

Follow the broken private road, but go PAST the turn off for Charleston Farmhouse, after which the road bends left, with the South Downs on your right

You are now driving between two fields

As soon as you reach a barn directly in front of you, take a small track LEFT
-
Drive slowly and continue on to the end and onto a gravel driveway

You are at Tilton House
-
Park up and enter to start your weekend of yoga and relaxation
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Take a train to Lewes (direct from Gatwick or Victoria), then take a taxi to us with GM Taxis 01273 473 737 for about £18.
