If so, then join us on our next Go with the Flow ladies-only yoga & relaxation retreat – being held in a beautiful French manor house near Chalais in the Poitou-Charentes region of France. A former Cognac making estate – the house and huge converted barn provides comfortable accommodation, an indoor yoga studio and private gardens and pool.

The retreat will be run by myself Vicki Baumann and transformational holistic therapist Jo Tocher. We have been running our successful Go with the Flow sell-out retreats since 2018 – so you will be in safe hands!


In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s easy for women to prioritise the needs of others over their own. Juggling work, family and personal responsibilities can leave little time for self-care.


So we invite you to provide yourself with time to properly relax. Take a pause, unwind and reconnect with yourself. We see this as not just a luxury – but a necessity for our overall wellbeing. Our nurturing, nourishing retreat in this beautiful region of Bordeaux, France is a perfect calm location surrounded by nature in which you can switch off.


Kick back. Rest. Read. Chat. Laugh with new friends. Swim or doze in the sun. Enjoy delicious chef prepared food and if you wish, enjoy a glass of wine with your meal.

Our Retreat offers you a chance to hit the reset button and unwind in a tranquil environment. Whether it’s strolling through the countryside. Swimming in the pool. Sitting reading and chatting or if you wish, book a massage treatment. Or simply basking in the sun.

Embracing movement with yoga


Yoga is a powerful tool for promoting flexibility, strength and inner peace. With my gentle guidance you will embark on a journey of self-discovery through movement. Whether a complete beginner or seasoned practitioner, the daily yoga practice will provide you with a beautiful way to start your day. 


It’s easy to neglect the importance of deep breathing and stretching. Yet these simple practices can have a profound effect on both body and mind. 


Our retreat will provide you with a supportive environment to explore and develop these practices in our group classes during the Retreat – or in private 121 sessions during your stay if you wish to explore further.

Our Go with the Flow French Retreat promises you a holistic experience designed to nurture your mind, body and soul.

Location and accommodation

Accommodation is in La Grange (French for ‘The Barn’) that has six ensuite bedrooms. 


Located within the Barn is a stunning double height 70sqm yoga studio that provides a tranquil atmosphere that is light and airy with a beautiful oak floor. The studio is fully kitted-out with yoga mats, blocks, straps and bolsters – so you don’t have to worry about packing your own (unless you prefer to).


Outside by the pool is an outdoor southeast facing yoga deck – where we can enjoy our morning practice and meditation sessions. Breathing in the fresh country air and looking over nature.


A fully catered retreat, you will be served healthy and delicious meals throughout your stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the covered outdoor dining area and salon.






Prices start at £1500pp when booking a shared twin room with a friend

Or £1650 to secure you a room of your own

Flights or travel by train, extra (not included in room guide prices)


All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink and access to or view of the garden. You can choose your room - available on a first come first served basis.


A non-refundable deposit of £300 will secure your place

And you can take advantage of a 6 or 8-month payment plan to help spread your payments


You will be looked after through your week by myself Vicki, your yoga teacher, and Jo Tocher transformational holistic therapist and intuitive coach, who has helped over 2000 people transform their lives and set them on a path to a brighter future. Between us we will facilitate all your needs during your time away, ensuring you don’t have to think or worry about a thing.

Come with a friend or come on your own like Cath and Mary have done on previous Go with the Flow Retreats (see below).
Cath attended our first Retreat in 2018 and has since returned with friends in 2019 and 2023.

Mary attended for the first time in 2023 and returned in 2024.

Nothing is compulsory - you are free to do as much, or as little, as you wish each day
Here’s what you can expect to indulge in during your stay with us.

Daily Yoga and Guided Meditation

Start each day with rejuvenating yoga flow sessions to stretch and strengthen your body. You will learn to discover balance; how to move with body and breath and see how quickly you can become more flexible day by day.
Followed by a guided meditation to calm the mind and cultivate inner peace.

Do you need to be a Yoga expert? No

Whether you want to explore if yoga is for you or are a regular – my classes will suit all.


You certainly don't need to be an expert in yoga. I can modify the poses for all and make sure you practice in turn with your body. 

  • complete beginners

  • those that have practiced before, but not for a while

  • regular yogis who want a guided and encouraging daily practice

Come together each morning to discover the joy of yoga. Take inspiration from those that can – and give encourage to those new to their mats.


And if you want to add more yoga to your day – I am available for private 1-2-1 classes at your convenience at a much-reduced rate.

I’ve always been a little ‘scared’ of meditation, will I have to sit for hours in cross legged position? No

Jo’s guided visualisation meditations are held lying on your mat, or a sunbed, or relaxed in comfortable chair. Definitely not sitting getting ‘pins & needles’ in your legs in cross legged position!

She will help you embrace and benefit from the experience if you have never meditated before.

Wellness Sessions

Led by the fabulous Jo Tocher, a transformational holistic therapist and intuitive coach, and member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). Jo is trained in 12 healing therapies which she combines to enable women to change their lives. 

Tuning Forks – what is this you may well ask?

A deeply relaxing and energy revitalising session through sound healing. Gently opening and clearing your energy centres (chakra points).

Sit back, close your eyes and relax as Jo takes all our guests through a sound therapy session. 


Holistic Workshops

Jo will be running two workshops through the week where you can participate and discover so much. 


  • Energy Alignment Method where you Jo will demonstrate, and you will learn techniques to align your energy. This is always a fun and enlightening session. Discover the power of energy alignment. Jo leads a fascinating workshop on how to release ‘stuck’ energy that can help us remove any negative energy that has built in our body – releasing it to free us from it.

  • Essential Oil Workshop
    where Jo will test our sense of smell and discover the oils that really resonate with you. During the workshop you will discover the many benefits of essential oils and can create your own personalised aromatherapy blend to enhance your well-being.

    We have invited a wonderful local practitioner who specialises in sound therapy to provide us with an evening of crystal bowl and gong bath, with a range of sounds.

Nourishing seasonal food

Savour delicious, home-cooked meals prepared by the resident award-winning restaurateurs made with local fresh, seasonal ingredients. Choose from vegan and vegetarian options as well as meat and fish to nourish your body from the inside out.


Meals will be served ‘family style’ and we will all eat together in the outdoor dining area or within the open plan dining room.


Relaxation by the pool

Unwind beside the sea water filled pool or sway gently in a hammock as you soak in the tranquil atmosphere – overlooking the beautiful French countryside. 


Whether you are lost in a good book or engaged in conversation with other like-minded women – take this time to fully relax and recharge.

Exploration of Chalais and Auberterre

A 20 minute stroll away is the nearby village of Chalais.

Or visit beautiful Auberterre Sur Dronne. A town which has been awarded the accolade of one of the prettiest villages in France. It has a fantastic subterranean church, a pretty square with cafes, bars, clothes, vintage and gift shops, and it was on the French pilgrims’ route to Santiago di Compostela. A 20 minute drive away where you can spend time browsing its shops, cafes and restaurants – or choose to take part in some riverside activities such as swimming in the river or kayaking.

And if you wish, you can visit its traditional weekly Sunday market.

Come on your own or come with a friend

​Regardless of whether you choose to come with a friend or decide to come on your own you will be in the company of like-minded women.

You are free to do as much, or as little, as you wish each day - come and stretch, relax, laugh or sit in quiet contemplation. Or take a stroll around the peaceful French countryside surrounding us.

First Floor

SELWA – share of standard twin room (booked together with a friend) £1500pp

MEYRICK – share of standard twin room (booked together with a friend) £1500pp

AZIZ – luxury twin room – sole occupancy £1650pp


Ground floor rooms have direct access via French doors onto a patio
First floor room have view over gardens, and all feature a deep oak window seat
All rooms have shower, toilet and sink ensuite

Secure your place with a £300 deposit

EXAMPLE GUIDE PAYMENT PLAN is available to spread the costs across 6 or 8 months
eg pay £300 deposit and spread remainder of cost over:

x 6 months £1650-£300 deposit = £1350 / 6 months = £225 p/m (plus flights)



  • 6-nights accommodation with beds made up with Egyptian cotton sheets

  • Towels including bath, hand, flannel and pool towel with fresh towels midweek

  • Luxury vegan/cruelty free or organic Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in showers

  • Bathrooms cleaned daily

  • Welcome aperitif on the first evening

  • Transfers from Bordeaux Airport to the Manor House on arrival and departure. NOTE, this is on the basis that you book your flight to ensure your arrival at Bordeaux will be timely for the group transfer. We will advise flight times once they are released

  • Daily yoga class and meditation

  • All programme activities run by Vicki and Jo each day

  • Free use of bicycles

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner catered each day

  • Fruit, snacks, tea, coffee, water available 

  • Free Wi-Fi is available

  • Bed linen, towels and poolside towels are provided

  • Hairdryers available

  • Washing Machine and Iron available if needed


  • Flights are not included in the price, you will be responsible for booking your own seats on the flights. We will advise which flights to book that will mean you are able to use the group transfer to the Retreat Centre

  • If you will not be travelling on the suggested flight and therefore unable to use the group transfer, an additional fee will be charged.

  • Transfer time from Bordeaux Airport to the Retreat is 75 mins 

  • By Rail. Nearest TGV stop is Angouleme where you will connect to the local station at Chalais.

  • Free pick up from Chalais train station for those travelling by rail

There is also a local massage therapist who can be booked for a variety of treatments during your stay – prices start at around EUR70.
