What a fabulous way to start 2020!
I'm delighted to be named as one of this year's f:Entrepreneur #ialso100. This campaign is a celebration of multi-achieving, inspirational businesses led by women in the UK.
The #ialso100 campaign was born in 2017 at the f:Entrepreneur International Women's Day celebrations. During the event, the phrase used most by the gathered female entrepreneurs was "I also...", with each woman describing their work as being much more than a single-job career and more of a flexible portfolio.
My inclusion results from the mix of business and activities I'm involved in.
🔸 I am a yoga teacher
And whilst training to become a yoga teacher..
🔸 #ialso worked full-time as Client Services Director for a print company
🔸 #ialso have volunteered for four years for 'Kindness Bags' - an initiative that encourages individuals to put a bag together that is packed full of useful items, for homeless women. Distributed to CRISIS and women's hostels before Christmas each year.
🔸 #ialso helped my niece Louise co-host 'The M Ball' that raised over £20,000 for Breast Cancer Care in March 2019 to celebrate the life of, and mark the 10th anniversary of the loss of my Sister (her Mum) to Breast Cancer.
🔸 #ialso am wife and chief bookkeeper for my husband's painting and decorating business.
Invitation to the House of Lords to celebrate #ialso
and International Women's Day
As part of this year's #ialso100 along with the other 99 business women I was invited to a celebratory breakfast at the House of Lords to celebrate International Women's Day and our achievements.
We were treated to some great learnings of how to gain the most out of our digital activities - and encouraged to share our digital top tips.
And lunch where we had the opportunity to further network, share ideas and start future collaborations for our businesses.
